Terms of Service
What you can expect from Pixirain, and what we expect from you — covering orders, escrow, revisions, ownership and disputes.
Last updated 14 August 2026
1. The agreement
These terms govern your use of Pixirain. By creating an account, buying a package, or delivering work through the platform, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.
Pixirain operates a managed marketplace: clients buy fixed-scope, fixed-price packages, and Pixirain assigns a project manager and a freelancer to deliver them.
2. Accounts
You must give an accurate email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Sign-in activity is recorded and shown to you under Settings so you can spot access you do not recognise.
Client accounts can be created by anyone. Freelancer and project-manager accounts are created by invitation only. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and you may deactivate your own account once you have no projects in flight and no unresolved disputes.
3. Orders, pricing and scope
Every package lists a fixed price, a delivery window, and what is included. The price shown at checkout — including any add-ons, applicable coupon, and taxes — is the price you pay. Work outside the listed scope is a new order.
Delivery estimates start when the project workspace opens, which is when payment is confirmed, and pause while a milestone is waiting on your review or on information we have asked you for.
4. Payment and escrow
Payments are collected through Razorpay and held in escrow. Money is not released to the freelancer when you pay; it is released milestone by milestone as work is approved.
Each milestone releases its own share of the escrow once you approve it, or once any auto-approval window you set under Settings elapses without a response. Platform fees are deducted from the released amount before payout.
5. Delivery, review and revisions
A freelancer submits each milestone into your workspace. You can approve it or request a revision, with the reason. Revisions are counted per milestone, and the number included is stated on the package you bought.
Requests that change what was agreed — new pages, new features, a different direction — are scope changes rather than revisions, and are quoted separately.
6. Ownership of the work
On full payment of a milestone, ownership of the deliverables for that milestone transfers to you, excluding third-party assets, open-source components, and any pre-existing tools the freelancer brought with them, which stay under their own licences.
Unless you tell us otherwise, we may show the finished work as a non-confidential portfolio piece. Ask us and we will remove it.
7. Disputes, cancellation and refunds
If a delivery is not what was agreed, raise a dispute from the workspace. A project manager reviews it first; unresolved disputes escalate to Pixirain. Escrow for the milestone under dispute is held until the dispute is closed.
Escrow that has not yet been released for a cancelled project is refunded. Money already released for approved milestones is not refundable, because that work has been delivered and paid out.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Pixirain to commission or deliver anything unlawful, infringing, or deceptive; do not attempt to move a project off-platform to avoid fees or escrow protection; and do not misuse the messaging or file tools to harass anyone or distribute malware.
9. Liability
Pixirain is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page changes when we do, and material changes are notified by email. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction.
