Acceptable Use Policy

What may not be commissioned, delivered, uploaded or automated on Pixirain — and what happens if it is.

Last updated 14 August 2026

1. Who this applies to

Everyone with a Pixirain account: clients commissioning work, freelancers and project managers delivering it. Breaching it can cost you your account, and where money is involved, your escrow position.

2. Work that may not be commissioned or delivered

  • Anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where the work will be used.
  • Malware, ransomware, credential harvesters, botnets, spyware, or tooling whose purpose is unauthorised access to systems or accounts.
  • Fraud: phishing pages, fake storefronts, cloned brands, fabricated reviews or documents, or anything designed to deceive someone into paying or disclosing.
  • Circumventing access controls, DRM, rate limits or licensing on systems you do not own and are not authorised to test.
  • Scraping or reselling personal data, or building databases of people without a lawful basis.
  • Content that sexualises minors, incites violence, or targets people for harassment on the basis of who they are.
  • Infringing someone else's copyright, trademark or trade secret, including passing off work you do not have the rights to.
  • Spam operations, click fraud, engagement farming, or gambling and financial products you are not licensed to offer.

3. Using the platform itself

Do not:

  • Probe, scan or test the security of Pixirain without written permission. Responsible disclosure is welcome — see the Security page.
  • Automate the site, scrape it, or use its APIs outside the product, including circumventing rate limits.
  • Interfere with anyone else's account, project or files, or attempt to reach data that is not yours.
  • Upload files intended to execute in someone else's browser or on our servers.
  • Impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade a suspension.
  • Take a project off-platform to avoid fees or to sidestep escrow protection. It removes the protection from both sides, not just ours.

4. How people are treated

Messaging, comments and file tools are for delivering work. Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse and unsolicited commercial messages are not tolerated in any of them, in either direction. Clients and freelancers are held to the same standard.

5. What happens if this is breached

Depending on severity, we may remove content, suspend the account, cancel affected projects, reverse or withhold escrow pending investigation, and report the matter to the relevant authority.

Serious breaches are acted on immediately and explained afterwards. For anything else we will usually contact you first. You can respond by writing to support@pixirain.com, and we will tell you what we found.

6. Reporting a breach

Write to support@pixirain.com with the project or account and what you saw. Reports about content, and any grievance about how one was handled, can also be sent to the grievance contact named on the Terms of Service.
